communication=good.

I study communication because I find it very enjoyable to observe other people and try to read what they might be thinking or doing. Some people call this creepy. I agree.

I blame the college because my appartment windows are set up so that I practically have to watch all the people outside and I most likely won't even get caught. not my fault.

But seriously...

Communication is something that we all require in order to achieve our needs (like in Maslow's hierarchy of needs). communication is also important because it leads to understanding, or in some cases misunderstanding. Either way, it allows us to connect to others and share, even if what we share is taken in differently than we intended.

As a Mass Communication major, I have been taught in several classes the importance of our freedom of speech, not only in the written word, but in the spoken. In order to draw conclusions, to work our way to the Truth of matters, we have to communicate and share all possibilities.

Thinking about communication requires one to go outside of their own thoughts and experiences and into those of others. Learning and thinking about communication on a deeper level therefore require communication. In this way there is also a never-ending cycle of new experiences and ideas, and thus thought must be analyzed regularly to incorporate them to draw the best conclusion, or the conclusion closest to the truth.
